Mr. Nguyễn Đình, Hải, Vice Director Irrigation Management Company visited the Status conference and ITT to participate in several workshops on planning and scenario development in the Vu Gia Thu Bon river basin. The activities were accompanied by Ass. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tung Phong, Vice director of the Vietnam Academy of Water Resources, ITTs main partner in Vietnam.

BMBF "2013 Status Conference on the Sustainable Land Management Program"

Date: 17 - 19 April 2013
Location: Berlin, Germany
Description: Status Conference organized by BMBF and UFZ Leipzig (GLUES) on the BMBF funded Sustainable Land Management Program. Participation of all 12 regional projects of Module A (international) and 12 projects of Module B (national) to discuss gained experience, knowledge and possible strategies for action regarding land and water management in the context of climate change.

Mekong Environmental Symposium 2013

Date: 5 - 7 March 2013
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Description: The symposium, which has been organized by the German Aerospace Center, DLR and the WISDOM Project, served as an international platform for scientists, decision-makers and organizations to discuss pressing issues in the transboundary Mekong basin. Discussions on the varying ideas of a sustainable river basin development were furthermore on the agenda.
