Our activities in 2015/16

	LUCCi consortium publishs a joint publication by Springer Date: December 2016 Description: A joint publication of the LUCCi project consortium will be published by the Springer Publishing House in December, 2016: Nauditt, A. and Ribbe, L. (Eds.), 2016: Land Use and Climate Change Interactions in Central Vietnam (LUCCi), Springer book series Water Resources Development and Management, ISBN 978-981-10-2623-2. The book summarizes the key findings of the five-year BMBF funded LUCCi project. The huge value of the LUCCi results in the development process of land and water management strategies has been strongly confirmed by local authorities. The Springer publication serves as a case study for Da Nang City - a rapidly growing and developing urban city, surrounded by remote areas and characterized by increasing migration and limited development. 	"Sustainable Land Management" FinalConference2016 Date: 7 - 9 March 2016 Location: Berlin, Germany Description: The Final LAMA conference 2016 aimed at drawing a conclusion of the BMBF FONA research programme 'Sustainable Land Management'. The conference served as a platform to present, discuss and synthesize results and lessons learned from the individual projects worldwide and the programme as a whole gained over the last seven years. Furthermore, guidelines for future research agendas and programmes were presented. The LUCCI consortium participated to present and discuss major findings and developments in the scope of sustainable land and water management in Vietnam. The implementation of the research results in local land and water management was of key importance for the LAMA programme. Therefore, project stakeholder representatives were supported by BMBF to present their perspectives during the conference. From the LUCCi project, Mr. Van Phu Chinh, Director of Department of Natural Disaster Management and Control of the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and Dr. Phong Tung Nguyen, Vicedirector of the Academy of Water Resources were invited to illustrate their perception of the LUCCi project implementation in Central Vietnam and on National level. 	Final LUCCi Workshop Date: 23 - 25 March 2015 Location: Tam Ky and Da Nang, Vietnam Description: The final LUCCi Workshop was held in Vietnam on 23-25 of March 2015. The project results and findings were discussed within the scope of sustainable land management. An integrative approach of inter- and transdisciplinary research was presented and recommendations were established.
	Research Progress, LUCCi products and Implementation Date: 6 February 2015 Location: TH Köln, Cologne, Germany Description: The workshop took place at Technische Hochschule Köln. Special focus of the workshop was put on the research progress. Key discussion and question: Products, implementation and public strategy.
